We have the same set of tools to work with no matter the sector; we have plants and other site features to add, change, or remove.
When we look beyond and outside of the site, we are looking at external factors which we might want to mitigate or fully harness and capture. For example, we could look to trap as much heat as possible during the winter while we also want to minimize the danger of fire year-round.
We also look across the whole of the site, including within buildings. This internal assessment seeks to do things like bring light inside the home while also seeking to block as much noise from neighboring areas as possible.
